Queridos comensales y amigos,
Con mucha pena, tenemos que anunciarles que decidimos cerrar la actividad de nuestro restaurante de "La Bastide" en San Miguel de Allende! Tuvimos la gran fortuna de conocer personalmente muchos de ustedes y de tejer una amistad que quedara para siempre pero nuestro camino nos lleva hacia otro destino. Aprovechamos también para agradecerles por todas sus atenciones y reseñas fantásticas que mandaron en diferentes plataformas sociales compartiendo sus experiencias en La Bastide! Ammazing flavors
I can not wait to have again their delicious mussels soup and bourgignon snails, my mouth waters just to think about them. Its food flavors are delicate, delicious and unforgettable. The arrachera in roquefort sauce according to my son, has been the best arrachera he ever had. My family and friends enjoyed many dishes with that special touch and flavor so different and delicious.

BEST BREAKFAST IN SAN MIGUEL
Directions to La Bastide, Carretera SMA. 5K., salida de Taboada - Xote, (Formally Pizza Pig in the campo), 110-2238. Rave reviews by French cuisine aficionados about chef Eric Gueguen, employs only authentic ingredients and time-honored methods serving authentic French recipes.
My friends and I have visited it two or three times for breakfast,
I love their Croque Madame. Coffee is wonderful. They are very generous in their servings and you will walk away full.
Breakfast is Saturday and Sunday morning. It is the best in town.

Fantastic authentic French food
we've been to la bastide several times now. Every time it seems to get better. At first I was stuck on the onion soup which is as good as any I've had in Paris. Then branched out to the mussels. Oh my God!

Highly recommended. Would be a regular patron even if I was in Paris.

Excellent
I have been coming to San Miguel for 35 years and of all the restaurants I have been to there Bastide is the best. The food was outstanding, the atmosphere charming and the service wonderful. When you go don't miss the French onion soup. I have never had better even in France.
