A word to our neighbors: l know some of you are concerned about possible noise issues concerning the restaurant-to-be. While I am happy to address any concerns, I realize dialogue isn't in everyone's wheelhouse. What I can tell you is our most primary goal is to have great food in a beautiful setting, and I hope to see you there often. The music will have an acoustic focus (unlike the stuff in town), and I am spending extra money for sound wall insulation on the stage area and kitchen. I know a fair share about sound engineering. Even my personal music projects will be scaled down. We will also observe quiet hours. If you prefer not to talk with me directly, feel free to talk to Angel. I contracted the property from his family, so everything is above board. Cheers!

SideBar update: BEER!
The cocktails are pretty well set, and I working on some nice, affordable wines by the glass. Now, on to beer. I plan to continue my previous relationship with the folks at Cerveceria Minerva. Its good craft beer from Jalisco (rated 85 or higher from BeerAdvocate). They also have great imports. Sorry...no Corona! I do not want monopoly beer here! What we will have rotating: Pale Ale, Kolsch, Vienna, Imperial Stout, Diosa Blanca and ITA (fermented in tequila barrels). From Fuller Smith Turner: London Ale, Porter, IPA, ESB. From Germany, a Dunkel and a Bock. Also Belgian Strong Ales from Huyghe. Organic and gluten-free beers, and maybe a smoky Bamberg Rauchbier. This is the current plan - it is subject to change. Maybe a case of Corona for staff and family.

DO WE REALLY NEED 3 NAMES? Of course not. All 3 names have one common goal: to provide an incredible experience enjoying a relaxed atmosphere, good service, and food that delivers a taste of home AND the freshness of Yelapa flavor. A five-star meal without the five-star pretention. The 3 names are a culmination of my attempted projects in Yelapa that were difficult for different reasons, but for which I had real passion. The Café - I was building at the beach. Amazing sandwiches and salads that you could eat while strolling. Tons of flavor, yet light enough to still feel sexy in that suit. My wonderful friends helped GoFundMe to get it done. I was pressured so much I tore it down. I felt I owed it to all those people cuz they were in it with me. Danny's SideBar - a tribute to my late brother who loved Yelapa and landed me here. It was part of the beach café - creative drinks you couldn't get anywhere, and a Co****le setup. I felt lucky when asked to join Gloria's in town...SideBar lives on! Not even close. So disappointing I didn't want my name on it. Now ¡Sabor! - Flavor! That's what we want. From presentation to ambiance to the actual taste of the food. It started in a PV hotel. Every time I came back to the room and turned the TV on...Point Break. Via Con Dias. A huge burger with Yelapa spiciness. How about a whole menu of comfort food that reminds you of home, and also reminds you you're in the tropics? So for my friends and family; for my brother and for me - we're back together. Great cocktails; amazing sandwiches and salads for lunch; a dinner to remember. You feel like dancing? We have live music, too. Cheers!
