Pangsusi is a traditional Malaysian Eurasian pastry often associated with the Portuguese-Eurasian (Kristang) community. It is a soft, baked bun or pastry filled with savoury minced meat—commonly chicken or pork—seasoned with spices, onions, and sometimes potatoes.
Unlike a curry puff, Pangsusi has a softer bread-like texture with a slightly sweet dough, giving it a unique balance of savoury and comforting flavours. It is commonly prepared during festive occasions, family gatherings, and celebrations within the Eurasian community.
Many consider Pangsusi a heritage comfort food that reflects the blend of European baking influences and local Malaysian spices.
