How can we continue producing high-quality tempeh while making it more sustainable and accessible?
From the very beginning, we made a conscious decision to use Non-GMO soybeans in our fermentation process.
Not because it is the easiest path.
Not because it is the cheapest option.
But because we believe that good food begins with good ingredients.
Over the years, we have learned that quality has a cost. And sometimes, choosing the better ingredient means accepting a more challenging business model.
Yet we never wanted to compromise.
We wanted to stay true to our values while building something that could grow sustainably.
Today, when the latest costing and yield figures arrived, We felt a sense of relief and gratitude.
The numbers showed that we are finally operating within a healthy and reasonable range.
Not perfect.
Not the finish line.
But a meaningful step forward.
What touched me most wasn’t the reduction in cost. It was the confirmation that we can continue honoring our standards without losing sight of reality.
For a food brand, that balance is everything.
Behind every product is a story that customers rarely see:
the trials,
the recalculations,
the failed batches,
the late-night discussions,
and the determination to keep improving.
Food production is not always glamorous.
Sometimes progress looks like spreadsheets, yield percentages, and production reports.
But hidden within those numbers are the dreams, hard work, and dedication of an entire team.
Today reminded me that growth doesn’t always arrive with loud celebrations.
Sometimes it comes quietly,
in the form of a report that says:
“Keep going. You’re on the right path.”
To our team, thank you for your commitment.
To everyone who believes in real food, thank you for supporting the journey.
And to ourselves, a gentle reminder:
Every step taken without compromising our values is a step worth celebrating.
🌱
Because great food is never just about feeding people.
It’s about caring for them.
