Here’s what our night with Penrose KL for KLCW 2026 was like:

Spanish mackerel tataki with air asam dashi that we’re still thinking about. A near-miss with of a glass full of Hennessy VSOP, Chablis, mango and shiso — saved, thankfully. Juicy skewers of duck satay that Chef YC described with the kind of detail that makes you pay attention. Jon Lee getting us excited about his soon to launch wine cocktails. And, strangers who stopped being strangers somewhere between the last pour and the next location of the night.

We can’t wait for next year. See you then?
