Did you know white chocolate was first commercialised in Switzerland? 🇨🇭🍫

In 1936, while producing vitamin-rich Nestrovit tablets for children, Nestlé coated the tablets with cocoa butter. With surplus cocoa butter left over, the company created its first white chocolate bar and launched it in Switzerland under the name Galak.

About a decade later, cocoa butter products were introduced in the United States, where they quickly became a success. White chocolate bars and tablets have been produced ever since.

Today, white chocolate is enjoyed all over the world. 🌎
