We have the same problem. We are not going to sacrifice on quality. If the price keep going up, we will stop selling. Selling lower quality beans just to keep the price is not an option.

Assalamualakum,

Untuk pengetahuan pelanggan-pelanggan Oz Cafe Shah Alam yg dihormati, ayah saya Haji Osman Bin Mahat 87 tahun telah p**ang ke rahmatullah pada 17/11/2024 jam 3:35pm.

Oz Cafe tutup mulai 3/3/2024 kerana saya dan isteri pergi menunaikan ibadah umrah dan p**ang ke tanah air pada 18/3/2024.

Rancangan awal adalah untuk mula meniaga semula selepas bulan Ramadhan tetapi malangnya ibu saja jatuh sakit pada syawal kedua. Ibu dimasukkan ke hospital selama 8hari dan mendapat rawatan di hospital shah alam.

Alhamdulillah ibu kembali pulih seperti sedia kala selepas menerima rawatan.

Sehari selepas ibu p**ang ke rumah ayah p**a jatuh sakit. Ayah yang menghidap cancer usus tahap 3 semenjak tahun 2018 telah dimasukkan ke hospital shah alam. Setelah menerima rawatan selama 9 hari beliau telah dibenarkan p**ang ke rumah tetapi keadaannya tidak seperti sebelum itu. Beliau tidak kembali pulih sepenuhnya dan memerlukan penjagaan penuh setiap hari.

Ketika ini kami telah mengambil keputusan untuk tidak meneruskan perniagaan Oz Cafe demi memberi sepenuh perhatian dalam menjaga arwah setiap hari.

Allah beri peluang menjaga beliau sehingga lah beliau menghembuskan nafas terakhir pada hari Ahad 17/11/2024 jam 3:35pm.

Allahyarham adalah muslimin dan ketua keluarga yang sangat baik.

ayah saya, moga segala dosa beliau diampuni Allah S.W.T dan ditempatkan di kalangan orang-orang yang beriman.

Ayah saya masih dihospital. Memerlukan penjagaan rapi. Tolong doakan agar beliau segera sembuh dan Oz Cafe Shah Alam dapat beroperasi semula.

Coffee roasting is a delicate and precise process where any slight mistake can lead to defects in the final product. Some of the most common coffee roasting defects include quakers, over develop, under develop, and scorching.

Quakers are unripe, undeveloped, and light-colored coffee beans that are often left behind during the sorting process. These beans usually have a sour taste and a flat body, making them undesirable in the final product.

Overdeveloped coffee beans are those that have been roasted for too long, causing them to become burnt and bitter. These beans often have a smoky flavor and can taste charred or ashy, which can ruin the overall taste of the coffee.

Underdeveloped coffee beans are those that have not been roasted for long enough. These beans are usually light in color and have a grassy or hay-like taste. They lack the desirable aroma and flavors that come with properly roasted beans.

Scorching is another defect that occurs when a coffee bean is burnt on one side due to uneven heat distribution during the roasting process. This can result in an unpleasant burnt taste and a lack of the desirable coffee flavors.

To avoid these coffee roasting defects, it is essential to have a good understanding of the coffee roasting process and to pay attention to detail during each step. Proper heat management, sorting practices, and quality control are all essential to producing high-quality, delicious coffee.

Photos are defects we get from roasting 5kg of Grade 1 beans. A total of 19.5g. This defects are hand picked by our roaster. This is done to make sure our freshly roasted coffee beans will produce delicious cup of coffee for our customers every single brew.
