Name of restaurant - Nasi Bamboo Sungai Klah
Location - Kampung Buloh Telor, 35600 Sungkai, Perak.
Direction - Exit to the Sungkai toll plaza. Turn right at the traffic light. Drive about 2 minutes and you can easily find the Nasi Bamboo Sungai Klah which will be on your left.
Opening hours - Daily except on Friday from 10.30am to 6 pm
Concept restaurant
- Self service. Each dish is served individually in a bowl and plate which are place on the counter.
- Spoilt for choices. There are many varieties of food here from appetizer to desserts.
- Fast service due to specific cashiers for each food and drink stations.
- Spacious sitting area with first come first serve basis. There is also a multi purpose hall. You can contact 017-516 7592 for any inquiries.
- This place is packed during weekend and a favourite stopover amongst motor bikers convoy.
- Clean separate toilets and prayer areas are provided.
Take a large tray at the main entrance and line up. Left queue for cooked dishes like Kerabu, Ikan Masin (Salted Fish), Sambal pomfret, Curry etc. Right queue for grilled meats, fish, and poultry. There's another line at left for the rice.
Beside the food counter, there is also drink counter and dessert (ice cream, cakes and others) counter. So choose your food or drink and pay at that specific counter.
Unique Nasi Bamboo (Bamboo Rice) RM2.00. Enough portion for 1 adult person.
The rice is cooked normal first, then wrapped in a banana leaf, placed in a Bamboo and steamed for a while. The aromatic taste from the banana leaf and bamboo is not there. It is just like eating normal steamed rice only.
