EMPOWERING LIVESTOCK FARMERS FOR A SUSTAINABLE GROWTH IN AGRIBUSINESS.

Day three of the L-PRES Livestock Agribusiness Training was held in Okene, Kogi State.

It marked the final leg of a powerful three-day, high end knowledge driven journey.

With great energy and determination, livestock farmers in Okene gathered as topics such as market access, business scaling, investment plan, financial management and leveraging digital tools for livestock farming were treated by our professional training Facilitators.

But more than just learning, the farmers engaged in networking session, to build connections, collaboration and listen to real life business experience from other farmers.

As we wrapped up the final day, one truth stood out empowering farmers is planting seeds for national transformation and that also translates to food security in Kogi state and Nigeria .

We’re incredibly proud of every farmer who joined us on this journey. The future of livestock agribusiness in Nigeria looks brighter than ever.

EMPOWERING LIVESTOCK. FARMERS FOR A SUSTAINABLE GROWTH IN AGRIBUSINESS.

Day Two of the L-PRES Livestock Agribusiness Training held in Anyigba was nothing short of transformational.

As Farmers were gathered once again with a drive, focus and eagerness to unlock new strategies for success in livestock agribusiness.

There were impactful sessions that delved into helping them to build a robust, sustainable livestock business. Topics like Financial management, scaling business, risk mitigation, led by our team of experienced facilitators were treated. But beyond the technical learning, today was about networking.

There was a networking session, a session that created space for open dialogue, farmer to farmer conversations, and peer-to-peer learning.

with the farmers sharing personal experiences, and listening to one another share their experiences, which includes their challenges, how they were able to curb it and life in Agribusiness.

One thing was certain the discussion created an opportunity for collaboration, sharing of contacts..

Day 2 was a beautiful reminder that growth in agribusiness is not just about knowledge, but also about building strong networks that can support and sustain that growth.

We are proud of the enthusiasm, openness, and unity displayed by the participants.

Together, we are building a brighter community of agripreneurs ready to lead the change Nigeria needs.

EMPOWERING LIVESTOCK. FARMERS FOR A SUSTAINABLE GROWTH IN AGRIBUSINESS.

Yesterday, We successfully hosted a Livestock Agribusiness Training in Lokoja, Kogi state a training that brought together dedicated livestock farmers from across the region. It also marked a significant milestone in our journey with L- PRES and The World Bank toward transforming livestock Agribusiness in Nigeria.

It was a day filled with learning, interaction, and shared passion for sustainable agricultural growth.

The training featured seasoned facilitators and industry experts who delivered powerful, practical sessions on livestock production, agribusiness models, disease control, feed formulation, financial management and market access.

Their in-depth knowledge and use of Anecdotes gave the farmers valuable tools and insights needed to help scale their operations to a sustainable agribusiness.

We were also honored to welcome some special guests, who are leaders in the agricultural space, their presence was an inspiration to the trainers as they gave them words of encouragement and reiterated their commitment to supporting livestock development in Kogi state and across Nigeria.

Our deepest appreciation goes to every farmer who showed up eager to learn, every facilitator who delivered with passion, and every guest who took time to share in this vision.

As this is a gigantic step towards building a sustainable future for agribusiness in Nigeria.

Together, we are building a more empowered and business-minded generation of livestock farmers.

Meet Mr. Abdulalim Ahmad, one of the dedicated training facilitators at the ongoing L-PRES Business Development & Investment Plan Training for 160 farmers in Kogi state.

As an Associate Consultant with Laicos Farms, Mr. Ahmad brings a rich background in agribusiness strategy and grassroots empowerment, making him a key contributor to the success of this impactful training.

With a passion for capacity building, he focuses on empowering youth, women, and rural communities through practical and inclusive training methods. His sessions are designed to equip participants with the tools and knowledge they need to build sustainable agribusiness ventures and improve their livelihoods.

Introducing our esteemed training Facilitator Dr. Raphael O. Aiyepeku.

As a seasoned veterinarian and feed formulation expert, Dr. Aiyepeku brings a wealth of knowledge in animal health, farming technology, and livestock systems design.
As an Associate Consultant for the Kogi Livestock Agribusiness Training, he will be playing a vital role in equipping farmers with innovative and practical skills to enhance productivity.

His extensive experience spans fish, poultry, and livestock feed formulation. He is also a co-creator of essential agricultural tools such as extruder machines, feed mills, and dryers. Beyond design, Dr. Aiyepeku is deeply involved in building and maintaining modern and local farm machinery — offering hands-on solutions that combine science, engineering, and real-world application.

Through his technical expertise and passion for agricultural development, Dr. Aiyepeku is helping shape a new generation of empowered livestock farmers in Kogi State.
