I have often missed the convenience of being able to order an Indian meal in this part of the Netherlands. I love good food, enjoy cooking and have been toying with the idea of starting something myself for a very long time. After months of deliberation, here I am finally, offering you a home cooked meal from my own kitchen at reasonable prices. Laxmi's Kitchen would like to offer you a complete I

ndian meal every Friday evening. The menu will be posted every Sunday and orders need to be placed before the end of Wednesday. Orders need to be picked up from my house after 6pm on Fridays. I look forward to cooking for you!

This week (17th October, Thursday) I would like to offer you one of India's most popular curries and also its vegetarian version.

Murg Makkhanwala (Butter Chicken) - €10
Grilled chicken in a mildly spiced, flavourful tomato based sauce enhanced with Cashew nuts, butter and cream. Served with Jeera Rice (Basmati Rice with a touch of cumin and bay leaves) and a raita (a yogurt based salad).

Paneer Makkhanwala (Butter Paneer) €10
Indian cottage cheese in a mildly spiced, flavourful tomato based sauce enhanced with Cashew nuts, butter and cream.

This week's special includes a Chicken curry or a Peas curry(for vegetarians) from the Konkan region of India. The coast of India is lined with coconut trees and hence people from this region cook all their curries using coconut milk.

Option One -
Coastal Chicken Curry - €10

Boneless chicken and potatoes cooked with traditional Konkani spices and coconut milk. Served with Jeera Rice (Basmati Rice with a touch of cumin and bay leaves) and Raita (a salad)

Option two- (VEGETARIAN)
Masalyache Vatane- €9

Peas and Potatoes cooked with traditional Konkani spices and coconut milk. Served with Jeera Rice (Basmati Rice with a touch of cumin and bay leaves) and Raita (a salad)

My Mom's Chicken Biriyani €12

Very recently I received a package from my mother with a new masala...a melange of various Indian spices. This week I'd like to offer you a chicken curry made with sauted onions and tomatoes and spiced with my mother's new medley of spices.

Chicken Rassa will be served with long grained rice and a yogurt based salad.
