New month, new beers!
For the tap beer of the month we have the Life’s a Beach from Jopen (Haarlem). This Session IPA is a light and fruity IPA of 4.5% with tropical notes like pineapple, lime, papaja, mango and citrus. For the brewing proces they used sea water that filtered into becoming mineral rich drinking water. So next to this beer being fruity and delicious its also sustainable.
The canned beer of the month is a summery wheat ale from St. Bernardus, called Tokyo. This beer is famed for its hints of citrus, combined with likeable florals of chamomile and fruity yeast aromas of banana and red apple.
For the whisky of the month we went for the Old Perth Sherry Cask. This Speyside whisky is cask strength, containing 58.6% ABV. Its made of blended whisky’s all matured on sherry casks. This smooth whisky has notes of sherry, caramel, ginger and warm berries ending in a subtle smokiness. Summarised as warming, sweet and herbal this whisky fits this time of year perfectly.
