Good morning our beloved friends and customers 😊
A few years ago the in the streets ofTamaki drive, Santa Brew Coffee was created and every single cup we had was a sign of support and how inclusive the Mission Bay Community Share ,Kohimarama & St Heliers and Glendowie Residents Association have been.
Our establishment at Kohimarama beach was not easy ,as we had to go through lots of challenges including racism but amazingly you all stood up for us and supported us as young black people and you all refused to be part of those who aim to divide our Communities based on skin colour. From our little coffee cart you could smell the aroma of freshly brewed coffee and the sound of a cheerful vibes which created a sense belonging in that Community.
Anywhere a month ago, some thieves stole our Coffee cart and got it crushing into someone’s property causing a significant impact to the trailer. Amidst the chaos, Santa brew Coffee cart was severely damaged as assessed and insurance have declared it total loss, we thought impact was not that bad and hoped to have been back brewing again. The news is sad and devastating to Santa Brew Coffee as we put so much effort and soul into running this business.
But our spirit and passion remains resilient as all the good memories are now part of us, we cannot for the countless mornings we spent brewing every cup with love, all every stories and the juicey stories we all shared still echo in our heads and we created friendships within our community.
We are determined to bring back Santa brew coffee, we will rebuild it again and with our loyal customers l am sure you will not let us down as we will need your support and our dream to inspire other young people will resurface again. It takes time, money and effort to rebuild but slowly we will. I believe in the love l received from our Communities and l believe it will be the same when l return.
Thank you and all the support will go a long way as we start to rebuild our journey again.
