It's a bittersweet moment for us here at Poco Loco as we bid farewell to our beloved restaurant. 😢 But before we hand over the reins to new owners, we want to make this last week an unforgettable experience for all our incredible patrons. 🎉

After 19 years, over half a million tapas dishes, 1 million strips of churros and hundreds of staff, we are excited and a bit sad to announce we have sold Poco Loco Restaurant.

What an amazing journey - and a rarity for the same owner, Brenda to have held the reins for such a long period of time. Whilst many of you know we have been based in Oamaru in the South Island since 2019 setting up Casa Nova House & recently the Criterion Hotel, Pukekohe will always be my home town.

We’re so proud of our achievements during our time in Pukekohe, including being consistently ranked #1 on Trip Advisor and being nominated for the local business awards three times, and wining the inaugural Pukekohe Onion Festival Award and we are so pleased and grateful to still be standing to take the next step of our journey today.

Without the local support of the Franklin community, we would not have survived the COVID-19 pandemic. Our deepest thanks to everyone, as it truly takes a village. We would like to give particular thanks to our current management team of Alan, Tamara & Kees for sticking with us to the end and producing a quality product that we can all be proud of.

We are pleased to be able to pass on the legacy to Eugene & Hannah of Franklins Bar who I am sure will take it to the next level and we wish them nothing but the best.

This Friday & Saturday evening will be our last. We will be there this weekend if anyone wants to call in and say hi.

🇳🇿Today we pause to honor and remember the brave men and women who have served and sacrificed for our country. We are forever grateful for their service and commitment to protecting our freedoms. On this Anzac Day, we pay tribute to their courage, sacrifice, and devotion.

At Poco Loco, we are honored to be open and serving the community on this important day. We are grateful for the opportunity to gather together with our loved ones and share in the spirit of remembrance and gratitude.

So, as we enjoy our delicious meals and drinks today, let's take a moment to reflect on the sacrifices made by those who have served our country. Thank you to all the veterans and service members, past and present, who have fought for our freedom. We will never forget.
