Ambassador Osawa hosted a lunch meeting in Auckland with Hon. Simon Watts, Minister for Energy, and representatives of Japanese companies based in New Zealand.
During the meeting, the business participants from the forestry/timber/ pulp, renewable energy, and finance sectors engaged in a constructive discussion with the minister on the current energy landscape and areas of possible collaborations.
The Ambassador expressed his sincere appreciation to the Minister for taking time out of his busy schedule to listen to the perspectives and concerns of Japanese businesses.
