Takapuna Beach Cafe and Store Named after the sunny shores of the beach that it graces, Takapuna Beach Café looks out over the Waitemata Harbour, across to beautiful Rangitoto.

The menu reflects the beach atmosphere, offering a fresh and seasonal selection of meals to enjoy in the sea breeze - or if you have your eye on the beach, grab a pastry, freshly made sandwich, or gelato to enjoy with your feet in the sand!

Sunset Suppers is back this winter and this time we’re extending the series from July to September with a rotating menu each month.

For $65 per person, enjoy a 2-course menu featuring a pie of the month served with a side salad, a premium drink match and a scoop of our award-winning gelato or sorbet.

It’s the ultimate pre-theatre dining for the Bruce Mason Centre or an early dinner with the family.

Last week, we had the absolute pleasure of hosting from for an intimate winemaker’s dinner.

Four courses to match some benchmark wines - Dry Riesling, Cuvée Antipodes Blanc, Olearia Pinot Noir, and a red Vermouth crafted through a fine wine lens.

Join us for an exclusive evening as we host Paul Pujol, the winemaker behind the acclaimed .

Paul’s twenty-year tenure at Prophet’s Rock is the culmination of a journey that began in Marlborough and wound through the iconic wine regions of Alsace, Oregon, and Burgundy. 

Today, in Central Otago’s Bendigo sub-region, Paul marries Old World techniques with innovation to craft  elegant, expressive wines - a style that has become a signature of Prophet’s Rock.
Paul’s commitment to minimal intervention and terroir-driven winemaking reflects a profound respect for the vineyard’s natural character.

There will be an opportunity to try four wines - including White Wine of the Year NZ 2025 winner Cuvée Antipodes Blanc 2022 - paired with a menu highlighting the very best of Central Otago’s local provenance.
