Crate Kitchen Crate Kitchen is an Auckland based food truck Crate Kitchen aims to explore the area between freedom and comfort. Two seemingly different themes. Crate Kitchen.

Freedom is about creating what we want, where we want. To not be pinned down by location, cuisine style or schedules. Comfort is about the food. To create food that’s new, while reminding us of something old. To explore our own comfort zones. We’re aiming for the better version of something you’ve had. Or something you haven’t had, with something you have. Because we’re always moving, the food brings us home. Feel good food.

Update from Crate Kitchen
We were looking for a special someone to carry the CK torch, didn’t look like it was going to happen so we’ve closed up permanently and sold the trailer.
Long story short, we’re opening a cafe in sunny Devonport! When the time is right we’ll tell you all about it! Talk soon… 🦌

Hi everyone, just a quick update from us. We’re putting Crate Kitchen on ice for a few months while we work on our new project. We’d like to send out a warm thanks to everyone that’s made the last three years of trucking so much fun. Our loyal customers, our generous collaborators and of course our ride or die staff.
We’ll miss all of you, but fear not Crate Kitchen will return!!! 🦌 🍔
