Was driving along the motorway toward Auckland the other day, and suddenly my car was surrounded by white stuff! Turns out some rubbish bags had fallen onto the roadside, split open so that the contents which were broken up pieces and particles of polystyrene, was floating and falling all around!!! More plastic pollution that will eventually find its way into our moana and marine life no doubt!! Biodegradable and compostable is the only way to go. Might cost more than plastics, but consider the long term view in terms of contributing to 'creating a cleaner earth for all'.

If MotuMoana Eco-Packaging can help influence change by working alongside environmental groups and trading companies and distributors throughout the Pacific Islands, sharing a vision of educating and encouraging the people of the motu to choose eco-friendly, totally compostable takeaway food packaging over harmful polystyrene and plastic options, wouldn't that be amazing!

This product range is fantastic. Made out of sugarcane it breaks down in garden compost system reverting to soil or humus in 2 to 6 months depending on the compost elements (bugs, worms, etc). You can bury it straight into the earth but it could take longer to break down depending on the fertility of the soil and soil type (clay, sand, etc). Potato starch products can be fed to the pigs!
