We offer well thought out, great tasting food on both sides of the dietary coin – for vegans, meat lovers and everybody in between. We offer all day dining and drinking, with a constantly evolving list of craft beer, natural wine and small batch spirits. The food offering changes seasonally, with a particular focus on local, ethical and sustainable produce from suppliers we know and trust.

Which is hilarious when you learn how much whined about the record number of submissions against his treaty principles bill. This bill does nothing to make women safer, and everything to punch down on a minority just trying to navigate their way in a world that is already unkind.

It always makes me laugh when people hear restaurateur or chef and they get this rockstar feeling glamourising the industry as something they could give a crack at. Most of the time it’s something like having your head in the dunny at 10:30 on a Tuesday night installing the replacement toilet seat that’s been sitting in the back of your car for the last 6 weeks.

2. Gochujang carrots & mint labneh
3. Jjimdak (slow braised chicken leg), mash & jalapeño sambal
4. Sake confit celeriac, cauliflower puree & curried chestnut (vg)
5. Sautéed silver beet, ssamjang, miso yoghurt & pickled shallot (vg)
6. Kumara nuggets, black garlic & kimchi emulsion with pickled cauliflower (vg)
7. 250g flat iron steak, creamed spinach & bulgogi jus

Chef Sean is really growing into his own and we couldn’t be happier with the latest iteration of Vondel. See you soon x
