Ahead of Te Karanga-a-Hape on Thursday 9 July, we're asking some of the people who help make K Road what it is to share their reflections on Matariki and what they're grateful for.
Today, Claire Hindmarsh from Carmen Jones shares her thoughts ✨
Matariki is a special time to pause, reflect on the year that's been, give thanks for the people and places that sustain us, and look ahead to what's to come.
As part of Te Karanga-a-Hape, you'll find opportunities all along K Road to reflect, share your hopes for the future, and connect with the stories of our community through art, kai, music and conversation.
And if you're feeling hungry, Claire and the team at Carmen Jones will be open throughout the day, serving up their much-loved Mediterranean fare as part of the celebrations.
