Not much to see out here this morning so not much point taking a photo!
I won't judge you if you choose to stay indoors on this damp, foggy Wednesday but I'm here on the street in the fog if you fancy fresh air and a fix 🤪☕️🚲

Be thankful for every moment you get to spend on this earth with people that bring you joy!

Last night I was surrounded by some fabulous people from the Rotary Club of Cambridge Inc - NZ Their motto "Unite for Good" is very similar to my own philosophy of connecting a community to make us stronger together.

I was their guest speaker and the response to my presentation was humbling. Thank you for inviting me to speak, for the wonderful conversations and camaraderie and thank you Cambridge High School Football Club NZ - CHSFC First IX for a fabulous meal.

Despite not having worked for a few days, the few hours indoors under fluorescent lights, trying to follow conversation while blocking out background conversation and managing the emotion of speaking about my journey still left me exhausted with a headache and slow cognitive processing. Just a gentle reminder that life with a brain injury requires constant management.

I hope you are all able to find beautiful moments on this Matariki public holiday and if you need beautiful coffee I'm opposite the town hall 8-11 ☕️🚲

A Thursday that feels like Friday for those of you that work 'normal' hours! Woo hoo roll on long weekend 🎉

The young fella is on the mend but has asked me to stay home again this morning. He is lucky I can be kinda flexible, he might not feel so lucky when he finds only tuna and rice on the menu for the next few weeks 🤪😅

Friday: Usual spot opposite the town hall from 8-11 (no public holiday surcharge)
Saturday: same as Friday ☕️🚲

I wear many hats.
Both literally and figuratively!
There's the business owner/hug in a mug hat.
The swimming hat.
The athlete hat.
The keep me safe on the bike hat.
The wholly heck it's cold working outside hat.
And the most important mum hat.
These last few days I have also had my nurse's hat on as my young man is rather unwell.
I made it to work briefly this morning but had to cut the shift short.
Being a solo mum and a business owner/operator are two very hard hats to juggle. I know I have an amazing village supporting me, but when you are sick there is no one like mum!
I will be closed tomorrow (Wednesday) but hopefully back out there on Thursday 🤞☕️🚲

I haven't brewed here for some time but a wander round yesterday with mum reminded me how beautiful it is and how much I miss that space.
It appears the daffodils are still confused and still seem to spring up in July 😅
Happy Friday and happy last day of term. We survived another 11 week one. Phew.

I am closed today (Thursday).
I would rather be outdoors spreading good vibes via liquid gold but that would mean 6 days in a row which is sadly still too much for my foot.

When I left home at 6am this morning both the ground and the sky were sparkling!
Now, 730am and it's colder and the fog has rolled in.
Definitely winter today but only my toes in the moon boot are cold 🥶

Only here until 9am today sorry folks 😭
As I start to progress to life back in two normal shoes and slowly ditch the moon boot, my son has unfortunately ended up on crutches from a football injury and we have a medical appointment today.
Living an active life has it's draw backs 😬
Have a happy Tuesday and I look forward to seeing those of you that can make it before 9 ☕️🚲
