Dumpling season has officially started, imagine winter night with a sip of soupy dumplings broth bursting on the spoon.

• Inside but still sunny and warm, eating fabulous yum cha steamer baskets
• At a long table, 8 courses to share including desserts (Trust the Chef · $60pp)

Yum cha at Midnight Shanghai works because dim sum is genuinely the easiest food to share across generations. Steamer baskets keep coming. Everyone picks. Nobody fights about ordering.

Trust the Chef - Mum doesn't have to read the menu. Doesn't have to decide. Doesn't have to negotiate with your fussy uncle. She just sits, eats, talks.

Here's the deal: everyday from 5pm, $60 per person, your whole table sits down and we cook. Eight courses from entry to dessert - chef's special choices. Shanghai sticky pork ribs, hand-folded xiao long bao, the mapo tofu that goes silent at the table, the fish dish you didn't know you needed.
