We're looking for a Casual Kitchen assistant/prep.

If you enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and have a passion for food, we'd love to hear from you.

Key responsibilities:

Preparing vegetables, meats, and other ingredients and doing dishes.

Assisting chefs with daily food preparation

Portioning and stocking ingredients

Keeping the kitchen clean, organised, and well-stocked

Following food safety and hygiene procedures

We're looking for someone who is:

Hardworking and reliable

Able to work efficiently in a busy kitchen

Willing to learn and take direction

A team player with a positive attitude

Previous kitchen or food preparation experience is an advantage, but not essential

-You'll receive an order sheet when you arrive. Simply tick the dishes you'd like to try, and we'll prepare them fresh for you.

-We recommend starting with a few items, then ordering additional rounds until you're completely satisfied.

-All dishes are served in small tapas-style portions, so you can enjoy a wider variety of flavours without feeling too full too soon.

As a small family-owned business, we kindly ask everyone to order thoughtfully. We want you to enjoy as much as you like while helping us minimise food waste. Excessive uneaten food may incur an additional charge where applicable.

Matariki – The Māori New Year, celebrated with remembrance, gratitude, and togetherness as the Matariki star cluster rises, symbolizing new beginnings and hope.

What will we have as a special??

A traditional Maori Kai, which consists of meats, spuds, green leafy vegetables, such as watercress or Puha, and doughboys😱😱

What is YUMCHA?

Yum cha originated in southern China, Guangzhou, and is deeply associated with Cantonese culture. Very popular in places with large Cantonese communities, such as Hong Kong, Vancouver, and Sydney. Now becoming known to NZ as well as around the world.
