To all our Tuam St family and friends, we have a rather sad announcement to make.
After a challenging yet wonderful run of 5 years, we have made the decision to close the cafe.
Our last day of trading will be Thursday 16th November.
It’s truly been a great privilege to operate the cafe in such an incredible neighbourhood. The number of amazing people we have met, and friendships made, is really humbling and astounding.
It seems everywhere we go, in Christchurch and even nationwide, we always run into someone we know from Tuam St, and are always met with a friendly smile and genuinely lovely interactions.
Tuam St is our first business, and we wish to truly thank everyone who has made it such an incredible journey. The exceptional staff both past and present, the friendly faces from the neighbourhood, and everyone who made the journey to join us in our little home.
A special thanks to JF for the opportunity and trust he placed in us to work within his space. John was such an amazing human, words can hardly do him justice.
Lastly, our heartfelt thanks to everyone who has chosen to travel further afield to support us at and it’s always a pleasure to see a friendly face at our night-time jobs.
To all of our Te Whatu Ora, and University of Otago friends and family, we hope to see you enjoying our brews at Central Park. To our neighbours outside the health sector, please stay tuned for new and exciting developments.
We couldn’t have created such a wonderful space without you all, and hope to see you over the next couple of weeks, and beyond.
