Some very happy campers visited us on Friday and again yesterday after staying at Portobello Tourist Park, and they left us this wonderful review:
"Due to staying at the Portobello Tourist Park we were told Augustines was a great place for food. As we have our dog with us we read you could take away so that suited us more. Hubby walked over and, wow, what a breakfast. He had the Sirloin Ham and Eggs. Looked amazing, the chutney and avocado paste were just amazing and I had the Granola. Omg it too was divine. What wonderful hosts, very helpful staff, great service and communication, and amazing food."
Thank you so much for your kind words! ❤️
If we're full inside, don't forget that takeaway is always an option. Wrap up warm, grab a coffee and breakfast, and enjoy this beautiful winter's day. See you at Augustines of Portobello from 8:30AM.

This week’s Matariki-inspired Toast of the Week brings together vegemite-braised lamb, pea and herb hummus, greens, roasted fennel, pickled swede and a Kiwi onion dip ranch dressing.
A little bit Kiwi, a little bit nostalgic, and packed with flavour 🤤
We can’t wait to see you all this weekend. There’ll be plenty of Kiwiana treats and special sweet treats waiting for you.
And for our vegetarian friends — don’t worry, we’ve got you covered! We’ll have vegetarian options available as always. This particular toast might be a little naked without the lamb, but there’ll definitely be something delicious waiting for you too😍.

While we’re currently snuggled up at home with a very sick toddler (very thankful for the beautiful Matariki book by Kitty Brown and Kirsten Parkinson that Kitty gifted Otto ❤️), we’re already looking forward to Friday.
The weather is clearing just in time for the long weekend, and we’d love to celebrate Matariki with you at Augustines of Portobello ⭐️
✨ No public holiday surcharge all weekend.
Friday: First in, first served—no bookings, just come along and grab a spot.
Saturday & Sunday: We’re almost fully booked, so if you’re planning to join us, we recommend booking now.
Expect plenty of homemade pastries, heaps of lamingtons, seasonal brunch favourites, great coffee, and a chance to slow down in our little corner of the Otago Peninsula.
We’re open from 8:30am on Friday with a cabinet full of delicious treats. See you this Matariki weekend! ❤️
