Looking for something to do this morning? Come on down to Gateway Lodge from 11:00am for Music with Michal, proudly supported by Hanmer Springs Four Square as part of the MainPower Alpine Winter Festival.

The fire is cranking, the coffee machine is pumping, and it’s the perfect place to relax, enjoy some great live music, and warm up with friends and family.

Weather update: some Alpine Winter Festival activities are on hold.

🛑A red heavy rain weather warning is in place for Hanmer Springs from today through to early hours of Wednesday morning.
As a result, a few Alpine Winter Festival activities won't be going ahead today/tonight:

Events cancelled:
Harcourts Four Seasons Light Display
Activity Hanmer Activities (archery, axe throwing, and more)
Night Light Tree Tops Climbing
Children's Quiz Night at the Gateway Tavern (Gateway Tavern is still open for meals & Drinks.)
Family Fairy Lights Walk

Keep warm and keep safe. Hanmer Springs Thermal Pools & Spa is open as usual, and so are local restaurants, cafes and shops around the village including Gateway Tavern. There's still plenty to soak up while you wait out the weather.

Reminder: The weather warning is in place until 3am Wednesday the 8th of July, we will keep you updated with any changes in the coming days. Until then, please take care on the roads and keep warm.
