Our entry into this years Great New Zealand Toastie Takeover competition 2026. With McClure's, The Great NZ Toastie Takeover and Cook & Nelson I Nick & Becs

12 hour slow cooked tender and juicy pork butts, layered with burnt apple, House made McClures sweet and spicy pickle jam, wholegrain mustard butter and of course our signature three cheeses of melty yumminess. Toasted to perfection on Southland made flourbro Réwena sourdough.

I probably don’t say it enough. But support your local businesses like your life depends on it.

A bit of transparency (and a whole heap of other emotions!!!) from us 💛

FlourBro may very soon need a new home.

We’re currently facing the possibility of having to relocate, and while we’re doing everything we can behind the scenes, we wanted to reach out to our community - because you’ve always been the heart of this place.

We’re looking for:
• A bakery/café space in Invercargill
• Landlords or people with leads who may have a space for us

Which can lead to a shared space for creative collaboration

It is imperative...
-to have 3 phase power,
-our oven is GIGANTIC so the ability to get that in the building is a must.
-hot/cold running water

We’re also exploring launching a PledgeMe campaign to help keep FlourBro going (and growing!) into its next chapter.

This bakery has always been about more than food. It’s about people, connection, creativity, and creating food with care, love and intention.

If you know of a space, have advice, want to collaborate, or would be in the position to support a future campaign for our "Pledge Me rewards", please reach out or tag someone who may be able to help.
