The Mapua Sprig and Fern Tavern brings a national award winning brand to Mapua! Located across the road from the popular Mapua Community Hall, the Sprig & Fern is a family friendly tavern open from 12pm –late. The full range of locally brewed craft beer, ales and ciders are served along with a good number of the best local wines. A warm fire and comfy armchairs make having a good long social chat

Long weekends call for brisket and melted cheese... lots of it. 😎

It's coming to the skinny end of the Burger Nelson Tasman competition, so you have until this Sunday July 12th to try our SMOKED BRISKET BUSINESS before it's gone 🚬

It's no secret that we absolutely nailed the last burger competition, and this one is no different: house-made beef patty topped with smoked brisket chop, double cheese, to***co onions, IPA aioli, dressed lettuce, pickles, our special burger sauce on a toasted buttermilk cheese bun and served with house cut chips.

This bad boi is also our burger special today, so get it with a pint of your choice and kick off Matariki weekend with one helluva feed. 🍻

Our Great NZ Toastie Takeover entry is just that: really, really great. Named after our very own chef extraordinaire, Pierre's Ultimate French Dipper is a toasted baguette filled with balsamic onion jam, house-made veal pastrami, Little River creamy brie cheese, West Coast IPA aioli, McClure’s Sweet & Spicy Pickles, and served with a side of rich veal broth for dipping. Best enjoyed (of course) next to the warm fire with a pint - come stay dry! 🔥

A beer that warms you from the inside out.

Brewed with a rich robust Porter base and the addition of cacao nibs from Hogarth Chocolate who are just down the road from the brewery, this beer delivers smooth layers of chocolate and roasted malt flavour. Crushed Thai chilli compliments the chocolate notes and gives a gentle warming taste sensation.

This work of art has a beef patty, smoked brisket chop, double cheese, to***co onions, IPA aioli, dressed lettuce, pickles, house-made burger sauce on a toasted buttermilk cheese bun served with house cut chips.

Not just your average toastie! We've unleashed our latest and greatest creation for The Great New Zealand Toastie Takeover, and it's très magnifique. 🤌

Say bonjour to Pierre's Ultimate French Dipper 🇫🇷 Designed by our resident Frenchman, it consists of the chef's kiss combo of toasted baguette, balsamic onion jam, veal pastrami, Little River Brie, McClures sweet and spicy pickles, West Coast IPA Aoili, and a side dipping dish of veal broth. Proof that a toastie can, in fact, be fancy.
