Round One for our Strava Race supported by and @ has arrived!

Race Segment for round 1 is: Full left hook into Jungle boxer
Alot of you will be familiar with Left hook into Low Blow but how many of you have actually ridden the full left hook??!

Race start and finish signs will mark the starting point and arrows will mark the fork to continue on left hook

The race segments will be up in our bio in the next day or 2, one for Analog and one for E-bike. We will be checking to make sure times aren't looking suss... 👀

Remember to star the segment to make sure it counts

Race window is Friday 8am - Sunday at 4pm - we'll announce the winners on our stories Sunday evening along with Spot prize winners from Round one

Should be a great excuse to come out for a lap and challenge your mates to some fun PBs!

We're excited to be hosting the epic The Bay Trail Run tomorrow at Cable Bay Adv Park! -The event showcases 4 differing distances running through a variety of private land with the race village and start & finish lines out on the green in front of our Base Cafe.

We'll be open & operating as normal for The Skywire, Quad bike tours and MTB access - our cafe will be running on a limited selection to help us keep up with demand!

Runners! We've got your post race meals, a scrummy combination of protein, carbs and fresh salsa to fix you up after all those kilometers and vert, your choice of either -
Morrocan Chicken
BBQ pulled pork
or curried chickpea, mushroom and lentil
Served with Garlic scalloped potatoes, fresh ciabatta, fresh salsa and capsicum relish for $25.

These are limited so get in quick!! Pre orders possible just come in and see us

Round one of our Strava race series, supported by POC and is 2 weeks away!

The chosen track for race one will be released the Monday prior
We will link the race segment in our profile, be sure you star the segment to make sure it counts, there will be separate segments for e-bikes and analog bikes

All you need to do is strava your normal ride and as long as the segment is starred, your ride will pick it up. You don't need to stop your strava at the "Segment finish".

From all those that have raced on the given days - you'll be in the draw for a spot prize from each round, we'll announce these on our socials and you can claim your goodies on the next visit!

Winners! Can you hold your leaderboard title right up until round 5?!
The overall winner from the series will get to CHOOSE an epic prize thanks to POC & Village cycles

There's a lot going on at the Adventure Park this Month!

For starters - we are open 7 days this winter! 9am - 4pm, on very wet days we may shut up shop early but we'll announce if we are.

We've got a new winter menu at our Base Cafe, don't worry, all the favs are still sticking around!
Monday's and Tuesday's will be fresh cabinet food, Scones, hot chips, toasties and coffees with our full, everyday menu available Wednesday's - Sunday's.

Our weekend Roasts will be making a come back from June through the winter months, available for pre order, table bookings and take away. We've got some great combo deals popping out too.

EVENTS - a few things on! Nothing that altering tours or trail access but worth noting as we will be busier on theses days especially in the cafe

Sat 9th (Tomorrow) we have the Kohatu Motorcycle Festival coming through the park. They'll be coming down the main road between 11am-12pm, 80 riders. We will hold climbing access while they pass through. After 12pm they will be heading up South Side access

Sunday 10th - Open for Mothers day bookings! Adventures or a nice lunch we have you sorted

MTB shuttles will also be running on Sunday thanks to Gravity Nelson from 10am,11am, 12pm, $15 pines & Southside, $30 Gamble at 1pm

Sunday 17th - The shoe clinic duathlon series, race 2 will be happening on the lower flats of the park. No delays but expect some runner and bike action - marshals will be directing any shared routes. Saturday 23rd - The Bay Trail Run. This is going to be a busy day! The event showcases 4 disciplines, the 50km starting at 6am, prizegiving at Base around 3pm. Event parking please follow signage. No MTB trails will be affected. More event info here

Fri 29th - Sun 31st - Round 1 of our winter Strava series! Stay tuned on our socials for what trail round one will be! Supported by POC and Village Cycles Richmond, get on the start line to be in the running for some epic prizes and fight your mates for the top time!

We are without power and river is slowly on the rise -
WE ARE CLOSED TODAY.

Forecast looking okay for the weekend - back to sunshine and will be open as normal

**Nelson weather warning Thurs evening - Fri Evening park updates**

With a heavy rain warning issued for our direct area and strong winds forecasted between 35km/h and 50 km/hr this will affect our operations

Skywire Flying fox - CLOSED Thursday & all day Friday

Quad Bike Tours - Update Friday morning, likely non operational due to the combo of heavy rain & high wind forecasted

MTB Access - After hours CLOSED Thursday & Friday evening
Update Friday morning, likely access closed

Base Cafe - Open with the fire on Thursday until 3:30pm
& Friday until 2pm

📣 We're excited to bring to you a brand new event to get you through the winter months and putting down some KM's on your bike.

The Cable Bay Adventure Park's Strava Race Series, supported by and

A 5-round, 3 day race series - all tracked and timed with Strava so you can keep tabs on who is to beat!

There will be 4 categories; E-bike Male & Female // Analog Male + Female

For each round, there will be a spot prize for each category for those who have raced. Winners will rep the bragging rights and be a step closer to the grand, overall prize and overall podium spot - so it's in your best interest to turn it on for each round!

We'll keep the leader boards posted on our stories so you all know who you're out to beat.

Expect some good vibes, friendly (or rivalry) competition and some great prizes up for grabs!

Stay tuned on our socials for the first round announcement details - Friday May 29th - Sunday May 31st
