Most people know echinacea as the herb they reach for during cold and flu season. But it's fascinating for another reason too.

Echinacea contains unique compounds called alkylamides. They're responsible for the gentle tingling sensation you notice in a quality echinacea tincture and they're now being studied for the way they interact with CB2 receptors found in skin cells.
