It’s time to share some news with everyone who has supported us from day one. After a lot of thought and everything we’ve been through, Drafters will not be reopening its doors.

This isn’t how we imagined the story ending, and walking away from a place we put our heart into isn’t easy. But we want to say a genuine thank you to every one of you in Rolleston and beyond who walked through those doors, backed us, dined with us, brought your families, and helped build the atmosphere we were known for. We’re proud of the hospitality we delivered and the connections we made.

We’ll miss the laughs, the regulars, the events, the busy nights, and the familiar faces. It was an honour serving this community.

This isn’t goodbye forever – just the closing of this chapter. We’ll see you again in a different way, at a different time.

Thank you, Rolleston. You made Drafters what it was.

Just a quick update from us.
Drafters will be closed this weekend, but we’re hard at work behind the scenes pushing towards opening the doors again as soon as we can.

We know the community is right behind us, and that support means the world.

Massive thanks for all the messages, love, and patience. Rolleston, you lot are unreal. We can’t wait to have you back in for a cold one and a good yarn soon. 🍻

Hey Rolleston! 💛

Just a quick update from the Drafters crew — we’re working hard behind the scenes to get everything sorted, and we’ll be back before you know it!

Unfortunately, we’ll have to cancel tomorrow night’s Quiz Night, but don’t worry — it’s only temporary. We’ll be back soon, pouring pints, firing up the kitchen, and bringing everyone together like always. 🍻

A huge thank you to everyone in our amazing community for all the love, messages, and support you’ve shown — it means the world to us and our staff. ❤️

We also want to give a big shout-out to Deputy Mayor “Big Red Shefford" for standing by us and helping us through this tough patch — your support truly makes a difference for local businesses like ours. 🙏
