Chef on The Mish is baaaack!! 😱🎉

Opening weekend for the upcoming Trout fishing season is almost here and we are stoked to inform you that The Chef on The Mish Buffet will be available Saturday the 30th September exclusively at Lakes Lodge Lake Okataina !!

We've been out here quietly assisting the GM and his team to set up his kitchen department for the upcoming summer season.
Derrick and his amazing crew have been working tirelessly to reintroduce the lodge to the world, and to provide a top notch experience. with refreshed accomodation, new menus. and some pretty neat conceptual ideas that are a bit hush hush for the moment....🤫🤫

For the first time ever. there will be a publicly available cafe on site. offering all your Chef on The Mish burgers and our most popular mains as well as hot coffee, fresh baking and hot food. 🍩🥐🧁🥔🍟

Did we mentioned it's fully licensed as well? 😉😉

To mark the opening of the trout season, if you've had a great day on the lake, we can prep and cook
your catch for you for a small service charge.
Show us your valid fishing licence and we will sort it out for you from there! 🐟🎣

And if you are still looking for a place to have your work Xmas function this year, we have a view no one else does on an amazing historical site surrounded by amazing native bush.

Transport can be arranged from Lodge back into Rotorua if required. 😁

Only 30kms from Rotorua surrounded by quiet native bush and a beautiful lake.....I know where Im going to be..... 🤣🤣

ITS SAINT PATRICK'S DAY! 🥳🥳🍷🍸🍹🎆🍻

Chef on The Mish is still cranking out the meals at the Rotorua Commercial Travellers Club on Moncur Drive.....been a bit quiet on social media because we have been so busy in house!

The new menu is available from 5.30pm Thursday to Sunday, only at Chef on The Mish Catering!

All welcome, no membership required, with only a few conditions, such as "Reasonable standard of dress required", and non members are unable to buy alcoholic drinks.

We are still low on staff, so wait times may apply but we will let you know when you arrive if this applies!

Come and check us out! Everyone is welcome!

Sorry guys there will be no buffet running for the foreseeable future, as we are extremely short staffed, and are struggling to find any suitable staff.

On that note....if anyone is looking for work, ideally has some cooking skills or experience, or front of house experience, send me a message via messenger. I'd be keen to have a chat.
