Showcasing food stalls from around the world, boutique shopping and live local music, this market takes place on Thursday evenings (weather dependent) from 5pm - 9pm. Rotorua Lakes Council's social media pages must not be used for electioneering purposes. Any post - positive or negative - made by any individual specifically relating to their own - or someone else's - nomination, intention to run for Council or election campaign, will be removed immediately.

📢 Market Cancelled This Week
Due to the severe weather over the weekend, some of our gazebos and equipment were damaged and require repairs before they can be used safely.

As repairs and replacement parts won't be completed until next week, we've made the difficult decision to cancel this week's market.

The safety of our vendors, volunteers, and visitors is our top priority. Thank you for your understanding and support, we look forward to seeing you back at the market next week ❤️

Kia ora e te whānau,

Due to strong winds at flying height, tonight's ARONUI Matariki Drone Show has been cancelled.

While it may seem calm on the ground, conditions in the sky are not safe for the drones to fly and safety for our viewers is paramount!

Rotorua Night Market is still on from 3pm-9pm, so come down, enjoy some kai, support our local vendors!

We're hopeful the show will go ahead tomorrow night, weather permitting. We'll provide an update here by 3pm tomorrow!

Due to forecast winds that are expected to ease later tomorrow afternoon (Friday 10 July), we have made a small change to the Rotorua Night Market start time at the Village Green.
🕒 Updated Night Market Hours: 3pm – 9pm

The safety and enjoyment of our visitors remain our top priority. Our team will continue to carefully monitor weather conditions throughout the day to determine whether the Matariki Drone Show can safely go ahead on Friday night 💫

The wind is howling up above, so the drone show is cancelled tonight and we will update everyone on the winds tomorrow.

Head down to the night markets though - heaps of yummy kai and crafts to enjoy!

Join us for the Aronui Arts Festival Matariki Drone Show and Night Market at the Rotorua Lakefront 💫 where the spectacular Drone Show begins at 8pm daily. Come down early and enjoy kai from the markets and the vibe at the Village Green:
