With full hearts, we are announcing that after more than 20 wonderful years, our beloved bakery and café is being offered to the market.
This business has been so much more than a livelihood to us—it has been our family's life.
More than two decades ago, we were a young couple with five children, a passion for traditional baking, and a dream. Armed with treasured recipes, a belief in doing things the old-fashioned way, and plenty of determination, we started baking from scratch and selling our products at local markets.
Back then, we could never have imagined where that journey would take us.
Our children grew up alongside this business. They spent weekends helping at markets, lending a hand in the bakery, serving customers, washing dishes, packing orders, and learning the value of hard work, community, and family. In many ways, this business helped raise our family, and our family helped build this business.
Over the years, what began as a small market stall grew into a café bakery that became known not only throughout Tauranga but far beyond. We have been privileged to be part of your daily routines, family celebrations, special occasions, and life's milestones.
We have shared laughs, tears, stories, and friendships. We've watched children grow up and return as adults with families of their own. Many of our customers have become lifelong friends.
To every customer who walked through our doors, bought a loaf of bread, enjoyed a pie and coffee, ordered a birthday cake, recommended us to a friend, or simply stopped for a chat—thank you. Your support, loyalty, and encouragement have meant more to us than words can ever express.
As we prepare for the next chapter of our lives, we do so with immense gratitude and pride in what has been created. While it is bittersweet to let go, we know that the memories, friendships, and legacy of this special place will remain with us forever.
