I’ve got Sundays available and can bring quality barista coffee, hot and cold drinks, and snacks pitch side or courtside.

I’ve worked football, rugby, netball, baseball and more across the Wellington region, keeping players, officials, volunteers and supporters refreshed all day.

Winter has definitely arrived.

The day started at 4:40am waiting for the milk delivery. Then it was off to set up for today’s event.

Gazebo up. Coffee machine heated. Grinder dialled in. Tables set. Cookies out. Everything was ready to go.

Unfortunately, all the market stalls were indoors, while The Coffee Guy was the only vendor set up outside in the rain and cold. Not exactly ideal coffee weather when everyone is trying to stay warm and dry inside.

That’s the reality of running a mobile coffee business. Some days everything falls into place, and other days the Wellington weather reminds you who’s really in charge.

No complaints though. Here’s hoping next week brings a bit more sunshine, a few more smiling faces, and plenty more great coffees.

Looking for something to do this Friday?

The Coffee Guy Petone will be at NGĀ WIETŪ MATARIKI from 10:00am–4:00pm at 27 Chelsea Street, Miramar.

There’ll be market stalls, kai, entertainment, and plenty happening throughout the day, so why not come down with your whānau me ngā hoa, grab a barista-made coffee (or your favourite hot drink), and enjoy this awesome Matariki celebration together.

If you’re heading along, come and say hi. I’d love to see you there.

How do you make a wet, cold, miserable morning meeting a little more enjoyable?

Easy. Put a coffee van outside.

This morning I had the pleasure of serving the team at Fletcher’s for their monthly shared meeting, while they also came together to celebrate Matariki.

The weather wasn’t great, but there were plenty of warm hands wrapped around fresh barista coffee, good conversations, and a few smiles before everyone headed inside.

Thanks for having The Coffee Guy Petone along this morning. I really appreciate being part of mornings like these and helping make an early start just that little bit better.

If you’ve got a staff meeting, team breakfast, or workplace event coming up, I’d love to bring the coffee to you.

If you’re a parent, teacher, whānau member, or dropping off at either of the schools below, I’ll be on-site serving barista coffee, hot drinks, and a selection of snacks during their Matariki breakfast events.
