🍜 We’re Hiring! Part-Time Kitchen Hand 🍜

Coco Hut Asian Food Truck has an opening for a part-time Kitchen Hand to join our awesome team over the busy summer season and beyond.
We serve delicious handmade South East Asian food from our super cool food truck, located in Wanaka’s beautiful Food Truck Village — think great food, great people, and epic mountain and creek views 🌄

If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, bring positive energy, and are keen to build your kitchen skills, we’d love to hear from you!

The role includes:
• Washing dishes and keeping the kitchen clean and organised
• Basic food prep
• Taking some customer orders (a good level of English is required)
• Opportunity to learn how to help serve food during busy periods if you’re keen

What we offer:
• A super friendly, supportive team
• Kitchen experience preferred, but we’re happy to train the right person with hospitality experience
• Part-time hours: mostly evenings, with some lunchtime weekend shifts available
• Work available until the start of May
• Delicious staff meal on every shift 😋
• Indoor/outdoor work vibes in a vibrant food truck community
• Stunning views all day — not a bad “office”!

You must be available evenings and weekends and have a valid work visa/NZ resident.

Position: Cook/ Chef (Full-time)

Coco Hut Asian Food Truck are looking for a passionate and energetic Chef /Cook to join our friendly team ahead of the busy summer season!
As a part of our team, you’ll be serving up delicious, handmade South East Asian dishes from our vibrant food truck in the picturesque Wanaka Food Truck Village. If you’re looking for a fun, fast-paced work environment with amazing views, this is the perfect opportunity for you!

What We’re Looking For:

• We are looking for someone with previous kitchen experience, with a strong passion for food and hospitality who is ready to bring their creativity to the kitchen. You will learn the wok section cooking our famous Cashew Pad Thai, and a variety of other exciting Asian dishes.

Requirements:

• Must be available over the New Year period (we’re closed for Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and Boxing Day, so you can enjoy a little holiday before the summer rush).
• Available to commit to the role at least until end of January, though longer-term candidates are preferred.
• Passion for food, hospitality, and working in a team-oriented setting.
• The ability to work in a dynamic, customer-facing environment.
• A valid NZ work visa.
