Stories Espresso Bar Stories is social enterprise espresso bar which loves two things: Quality and Opportunity. Welcome to Stories. We believe in making excellent espresso.

We are about two things here: Quality and Opportunity. We also believe in young people. We aim to bring the next generation of hospitality staff into their first place of employment under the expert tutelage of some of Wellington’s best baristas. A Social Enterprise in it’s truest sense, every dollar goes back into the Barista Training Academy of Zeal, a nationwide Youth Trust that aims to transfo

rm young people through the creative arts. Special thanks to the Ministry of Youth Development, the Boulcott Fund, The Cathy Pelly Memorial Fund, The Nikau Foundation, The AMP Scholarship, Proffer, Southern Hospitality and the many individuals who have contributed to making this venture a reality.

These are students from term 1 this year and they’ve all gone off to do amazing things, some are now employed, some are studying tertiary level hospitality and some moved countries ( we miss you Joe 🥲)

This week being mental health awareness week we wanted to bring to you a safe space to have your check ins with your circle of loved ones.
Zeal/Stories has already worked really hard in creating such a space for our students but why stop there? That being said we feel this space should be utilised by anyone who needs it.
In this space know that anything said will not be judged (whatsoever) and will stay confidential.
So our challenge for you this week is to check in w a friend, family member or just someone you haven’t seen in a while 💕

My name is Josie, iv been apart of Zeal for a year now ☺️ some of you will have already met Jasmine, she is one of our young people who has previously completed our barista course. She blew us away w her skills, so much that we decided to employ her 🎊

With all the changes happening around the cafe, don’t fret; we will still be providing the same amazing coffee you all know and love.
