Mrs Bz

Mrs Bz Kia orana and welcome to Mrs B'z. Wanganui's own Kuki Airani kai. Aere mai ki te kai maanga Who are we and what are we about?

Kia Orana, welcome to Mrs B´z a family-owned and operated Cook Island inspired food business. Firstly I would like to introduce myself, My name is Cara and I am from the island of Aitutaki and also a Te Atihaunui-a-paparangi girl from right here in Wanganui. My husband who works behind the scenes with me is John and he comes from the Islands of Aitutaki and Mangaia in the Cook Islands. Together we

own Kuki Kollective Ltd/Mrs B´z. The name Mrs B´z originates from our late mother a loving mother, grandmother, a staunch Mangaian Vaine(woman), and a beautiful cook. I was blessed to have been taught her famous Mainese (cook island potato salad). Our recipes are family-owned or recipes I have altered just enough to keep the integrity of the dish while putting our very own flare on. We at Mrs B´z believe in staying as local as possible so we do source as much of our produce as we can from locally owned suppliers. But we also want to deliver affordable kai for everyone and we believe we truly do deliver that. Meitaki Atupaka for all the support and iI hope we can bring something so unique here in Wanganui that lasts for many years to come.

With many variations to its name in the cooks we call this rukau (taro leaves) when not cooked and prepared right i can admit it doesn't leave a nice effect in the mouth.
Rukau is so versatile in terms of what can be added alongside it. You can have it cooked in just coconut cream or you can add your favourite meat to turn it into a hearty meal.
In our home we love ours low and slow cooked with lamb chops or pork and drenched in coconut cream 🤤🤤.
Have you tried rukau?

Kia orana all, we hope you're all doing well and getting ready for those cold nights 🥶🥶.
Sorry we have been a little absent on our sales between whanau, mahi and helping our kuki community fundraise alongside sorting council needs we have been so swamped and cant believe its been so long since we held a sale.
But never fear we plan to have our next sale after easter and cant wait to deliver you all with our delicious kuki kai for you all to enjoy.
Watch this space 👀👀😍😍
