Matariki marks the Māori New Year (Te Mātahi o te Tau), celebrated in mid-winter when the Matariki star cluster (the Pleiades) reappears in the dawn sky. It is a time for remembering those who have passed, celebrating the present with family and food, and looking forward to the future.

Hi there,
Sorry Braaihut will be closed until early next week as have had a family emergency, it's one of the curve balls that life throws at you.
