Light roast or Dark roast has more caffeine?

When students having finals or driving at late night, they tend to have coffee that contains more caffeine. But if you just want grab some coffee before bed or only try to enjoy the aroma, you would go the other way around.
So what should we chose ?
Some says that dark roast have more caffeine because of the heavy taste. While others think that due to shorter roast time of the light roast, the less caffeine loses. What do you think ?
