A Year of Flavor, Family, and Heart: Our Turo Turo ni Gabo Journey! 🖤
Today marks a truly special milestone for us at Turo Turo ni Gabo – our first anniversary! It feels like just yesterday, on June 29th, we reignited a dream that had been simmering in our hearts for years. Officially opening our doors on July 1, 2025, was more than just starting a restaurant; it was a continuation of a legacy.
Many of you might know that the term 'Turo Turo' originated from our humble beginnings as a karinderya right here in this very spot, which we first started towards the end of 2023. Life took its course, and we had to pause that dream. But the passion for sharing our home-cooked flavors never faded. A year ago, with renewed spirit and a growing family, we decided to pick up where we left off, naming our beloved Filipino-Italian restaurant, Turo Turo ni Gabo, after our precious son. This name embodies everything we are: a family-owned restaurant, run by a couple with a toddler, pouring our love and heritage into every dish.
To our incredible customers, especially those who have been with us since the very beginning of Turo Turo ni Gabo a year ago, and to all our new patrons who have joined us along the way – thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Your unwavering support has been the spice of our journey, helping us grow and thrive every single day. To our dedicated staff, your hard work and commitment are the backbone of Turo Turo ni Gabo, and we are immensely grateful for each one of you.
Beyond the delicious food and warm company, your patronage also helps us extend our care to our beloved animal family members: our three adopted cats, our two dogs, and the four adopted neighborhood dogs we feed daily. Giving all of them a chance at a loving life and providing them with food is a cause close to our hearts, made possible by your generosity.
