🇵🇱PL: Tie Guanyin jest herbatą Wulong, pochodząca z prowincji Fujian. Dzisiaj jednak nie będę Państwu o jej właściwościach ani o technice parzenia. Chcę państwu zaprezentować legendę o tym jak narodziła się ta herbata.
鐵觀音 (tie3guan1yin1) tłumaczy się jako "Żelazna Bogini Miłosierdzia". 鐡 oznacza "żelazo", a 觀音 to chińskie imię bodhisattwy - Avalokiteśvary (postaci wywodzącej się z buddyzmu).
Jako ciekawostkę mogę dopowiedzieć, że bodhisattwowie nie mają płci, jednak Guanyin często jest przedstawiana w Chinach jako kobieta.
Według jednej z wersji popularnej legendy o powstaniu wcześniej wspomnianej herbaty do opuszczonej świątyni Guanyin przybył pewien żebrak, który postanowił wysprzątać święte miejsce. W ramach podziękowania Avalokiteśvara zesłała mu sen, w którym pokazała mu miejsce gdzie rosło tajemnicze drzewo.
Biedak znalazł ową roślinę, która okazała się być drzewem herbacianym. Zaczął on sprzedawać ową herbatę, która okazała się tak dobra, że zarobił na niej fortunę🍵🌿

🇬🇧ENG: Tie Guanyin is an Oolong tea and comes from the Fujian Province. But today I won't be talking about its properties and the way of making this tea. I would like to tell You the tale about its origin.
鐵觀音 (tie3guan1yin1) is translated into English as the "Iron Goddess". 鐵 means "iron" and 觀音 is the Chinese name of bodhisattva - Avalokiteśvara.
As a fun fact I can tell You that bodhisattvas aren't of any particular gender, although in China Guanyin is often depicted as a woman.
According to the one version of the popular legend about the origin of previously mentioned tea there was a beggar that came to the Guanyin's temple and decided to clean it up.
To express her gratitude the goddess sent him a dream that depicted a place where the mysterious plant grown. Later, the beggar found it and it turned out that the plant was the tea tree. It turned out to be so delicious that he quickly made a fortune by selling it.🍵🌿
