The restaurant Pharmacia – Chef Felicidade, closed to the public on 31 December after 14 years of operation.
In its place, “Pharmacia Restaurante Bar” will open on a date to be announced.
Chef Susana Felicidade will no longer be responsible for the management of the space or the menu. In due course, the new restaurant group will communicate further details regarding the new “Pharmacia”.
This outcome reflects not only a personal decision, but also a long-standing wish on the part of Chef Felicidade to step away from the project, while ensuring its continuity.
This decision was shared with the National Association of Pharmacies, owner of the building, which selected the new restaurant group in line with these principles.
“Pharmacia was founded in 2011 through a collaboration with the Director of the Museum of Pharmacy and the National Association of Pharmacies. Over the years of dedication to this project and of sharing with many people, we built a brand of national and international relevance. Around 1.2 million guests passed through the space, 300 team members worked here, and more than 80 suppliers and partners contributed.
I believe this relevance is due to several factors: the originality of the concept and atmosphere combined with gastronomy; the warmth and hospitality of the teams; the prestige of its location; the bespoke bar menu curated by Luís Domingos; and the signature food menu, rooted in Portuguese produce and flavour.
I would like to express my gratitude to all the ‘pharmacists’ who accompanied me in this ‘service’ dedicated to hospitality, Portuguese gastronomy, and sharing. It was a journey as long as it was happy, and it came to an end on the last day of 2025, in a celebratory atmosphere shared with guests and the team.
I believe that the new “Pharmacia” will be able to maintain its authenticity and relevance under different management and with a new menu, and I wish every success and happiness to the incoming teams, to the National Association of Pharmacies and its Members, and to the Museum of Pharmacy”
