Today, like many Singaporeans, I felt a deep sense of sadness.
Over the years, I've had the privilege of meeting Assoc Prof Muhammad Faishal Ibrahim on numerous occasions through community, culinary and charity events.
Every encounter left the same impression on me, humble, sincere, approachable and genuinely interested in the people around him.
Not many Ministers would greet you & would allow you to put an arm around them for a photo, or greet you with a heartfelt hug. Those small gestures spoke volumes about the kind of person he is.
Whenever I tagged him in my Instagram Stories, he would almost always reshare them. Whenever we met, we would have meaningful conversations. He never rushed them. He listened. He cared. He made you feel heard.
Whatever lies ahead, I choose to remember the kindness, respect and encouragement he showed me personally.
Thank you, Prof, for your years of service to Singapore and for every conversation, every smile and every act of kindness.
May Allah SWT grant you and your family strength, peace, wisdom and ease during this difficult period. May He guide every step ahead and bless you with what is best in this world and the Hereafter.
Ameen.
🤲❤️
