Dear all,
We have two bits of sad news to announce. The first is that our dear friend and regular at the diner Randy Simmons passed away on the 18th of March. Randy was our first customer, walking through the door five minutes after we opened. His wit, wisdom, and smile always made the diner a great place to be. He always had a smile and hello for everyone that walked through the door. He will be greatly missed and we send our sincerest condolences to his wife and family.
Secondly, as many of our regulars already know, D&D diner has closed. We sincerely wish we could have remained open, but we have other major projects that were taking too much time for us to be able to run the diner how we wanted. As sad as it makes us, we are proud to have ended it on our own terms, and with the diner being a huge success and still growing. It has been an honor to serve each and every one of you that came in and supported us. Our motivation in opening the diner was making people happy with excellent tasting American food from the South prepared how its supposed to be done, and not charging a lot so that everyone could enjoy it. Seeing the stacks of empty plates in the sink every night and people rubbing their bellies with smiles on their faces was all the confirmation we needed to know that we were successful in that goal. Thank you all again from the bottom of our hearts, and please always remember our philosophy on life which is, "Eat well and be happy.".
Warmest regards,
Darika and David aka D&D

We are keeping the diner's page active as an archive to look back on and keep in touch. Please feel free to add your thoughts and comments! We'd love to hear from you!
