This Saturday, 7 June, we'll be celebrating Det 5's 34th Anniversary! T H I R T Y F O U R (!) YEARS. Quite surreal, if you'd ask us...

The first 15 years we were anchored in the old Buckskin Joe Village (aka Soi Zero) and, since 1 June 2006, in our current oasis in Soi 8.

A humongous vote of gratitude goes out to our incredibly generous landlord, without whom we wouldn't have made it through the Covid years.

*** While on the subject ... we are VERY happy to report we recently signed another extension to our Lease, so we'll continue playing an active part in the Soi 8 F&B realm for many years to come! ***

We'll be kicking off the festivities at 17:00, and will be throwing a FREE buffet into the celebratory mix...

Dear Det 5 Family,

Tomorrow, Saturday 8 June, we’ll be celebrating Det 5’s 33rd Anniversary. *** Free buffet kicks off around 17:00 ***

Since 1991, we’ve weathered countless coups, constitutional contortions, flights of governmental financial folly, biblical floods and so many other ups-and-downs too numerous to mention.

We feel incredibly blessed ... happy ... proud ... joyful — and so many other emotions too numerous to mention — that we reached this milestone in Bangkok’s notoriously fickle and fleeting F&B realm.
