Two years ago, I sat down on opening day with my favourite breakfast — Turkish eggs — pretending to be calm while secretly having absolutely no idea what I was doing. 😅
We had about 10 customers, and I’m pretty sure I took photos of every single one of them like they were celebrities. Chef Tom was behind the bar, welcoming locals, making drinks, doing whatever needed doing. We started slow. Really slow. And I’m sure plenty of people wondered if we’d make it.
But somehow, through hard work, chaos, stubbornness, love, late nights, good food, great people, and a lot of learning the hard way… here we are.
I’m proud of what Culture Club has become: a place for food, music, family, friends, strangers, locals, travelers, dancing, coffee, cocktails, kids running around, and people from all walks of life coming together.
Thank you to everyone who has been part of the journey — from those first 10 customers to everyone who has walked through since. We’re still here, still growing, still slightly chaotic, and still full of heart.
