Araby Ali’s Doubles aka Ali’s Doubles Barataria. Was established in 1936.Its a family owned business. Originally from Princes Town, we are the 3rd generation in the family to carry on the legacy of my Grandfather Ashraf (Choat)Ali together with my grandmother Rosidan Ali and my father Anwar Ali. At this time Doubles was the only thing on our menu. In 1995 my father Anwar Ali entered the NFM Nation

al Doubles Competition and won the title NATIONAL DOUBLES CHAMPION. Hailing from south my father Anwar Ali decided he wanted to venture out of Princes Town and give the north a taste of our delicious Doubles so he migrated from south to north in 1996 and started selling in City Gate in the bus terminal. To our menu Alloo pies was added. In 2008 we decided to move from City Gate and now our delicious Doubles is now available in Barataria. Available on our

Everyday MENU:
Doubles, Alloo Pies, Cheese Pies and Bygan pies with Cheese. Thursday To Sunday
Rolled Sahena and Pholourie. Saturday to Sunday
Chipped up Sahena and Byganie. We appreciate our customers very much. We even cater for our health conscious customers by providing BOWL OF CHANNA with whatever sauces they like. We try our best to keep our prices economical as we can. Our customers vary from Ministries and financial institutions to the transportation sector (maxi taxis) to the kids heading to school. We look forward to seeing and hearing from you!
