Chumbe Island feels like stepping into a protected secret just off the coast of Zanzibar.
Crystal-clear water, untouched coral reefs, and a small island that runs completely on eco-tourism and conservation. No mass tourism, no noise, just nature doing its thing.
Snorkeling here feels like swimming inside an aquarium, and walking the forest trails makes you realise how rare this kind of protected ecosystem really is.
A reminder that tourism can protect rather than destroy when it’s done right.
If you’re in Zanzibar, this is one of those places that stays with you long after you leave.
