The 55th annual Mississippi School Nutrition Association conference was an outstanding event, offering a weekend of professional networking, educational sessions, and creative strategies to benefit our school district’s Child Nutrition program. Our managers have returned energized, ready to share their newfound knowledge with their teams, as well as excited about implementing new ideas in their cafeterias.

We’re kicking off National School Lunch Week a week early — October 6-10 — since we’ll be out for Fall Break during the official celebration (Oct. 13–17)!

This year’s theme is “Taste the World: Your School Lunch Passport!” 🌍
Join us as we explore flavors from around the globe — no passport required!

☕✨ Testing week just got a little sweeter at AHS! To kick off 9-week exams and benchmark testing, our students powered up with an ice-cold Moo Brew Iced Coffee. 🎉 That’s right… Moo Brew is BACK at Aberdeen High! Start your morning with breakfast + a refreshing Moo Brew = the perfect way to ace the day. 💪📚

🌮 Taco ’bout appreciation! 🌮
Our Child Nutrition team was proud to cater a fresh taco bar for ASD Central Office Appreciation Day. Thank you to our central office staff for all you do to support our students and schools every day! 💙

A Night Out with the Superintendent was a great success!💙🐾 It was a great evening of bringing families, staff, and students together to celebrate our schools successes and future plans. We couldn’t let our attendees leave without enjoying a delicious spread provided by the Child Nutrition Department.
Proud to keep our community fueled with good food and good company. 🍴✨

Today was the final day for our Kindergarten Jumpstart program! The students did great this week and we can’t wait to greet them in the cafeteria on a regular basis during the upcoming school year!!
They were all excited about their popsicle treat at the end of the day!🤩🌞

A few things we learned from them:
💙They will eat pizza and hotdogs everyday if they could
💙They didn’t really care for the Mini Cinnis
💙One in particular wants Dr Pepper to drink during lunch and lemon popsicles 😂
We love our kiddos! They were a joy this week!
