Did you know that on a weekend out to Kansas City when Lena was just 16 years old, she found herself believing the words of a fortune teller who told her she should be in a place selling “foodstuffs” to the public? The rest is history...💭

As we are making progress on restoring the beautiful home that still stands rich in history, we will never forget the memories that Lena built for herself, and the community of Abilene. ♥️

On a gentle hill just west of Abilene, Kansas stands a small grove of pine trees with roots as deep as the house you see on the hill. 🏠🌲

Made famous by one woman named Lena, she opened her farmhouse where "foodstuffs" were served. From that day on, she fed tourists from coast to coast, high ranking White House officials, secret service men, foreign diplomats, governors, and Abilene's favorite son, President Dwight David Eisenhower.

We're excited to share an update on The Farmhouse community project with everyone! At the moment, our team is working on turning our inspirational ideas into a final plan. The project will be completed in phases, starting with focusing on the house itself. 🏡✨

Once phase one is successful, we plan to include farm or garden plots for small farmers or gardeners to grow organic crops for our chef-inspired menu. 🥬🥕🥔

Below is a first rendering of what that might look like. Please note that this is not the final design, but a sneak peek into our vision for the property! 🚧⚒️
